FACES: THE NOISE recognises those thoughts that creep in and play on your insecurities when you are at your most vulnerable. They come quick and are often unexpected and unrelenting. They bombard you with negative thoughts and self-doubt leading to a lack of confidence, anxiety and paranoia.
This can have an enormous impact on your life. It drags you into a vortex that seems to grow and grow, and is difficult to break out of.
We however have the choice to break free because we along own and control our emotions.
Recognise this negativity (noise) as an external noise that you can switch off. Give it a name and tell it to bugger off. Only you let it in and only you can throw it out.

So, once you've recognised it for what it is, show it the door by breaking the pattern.
"It's like a needle in a groove," says Guy Winch, Ph.D., psychologist and author of Emotional First Aid: Practical Strategies for Treating Failure, Rejection, Guilt and Other Everyday Psychological Injuries. "As the groove gets deeper and deeper, the needle has a harder time getting out of the groove." What's more, rumination can actually make you more angry or upset than you were originally, because the issue becomes magnified in your mind.
The more we allow the noise to exist the greater hold it has over our thoughts. The result is our brain receptors being programmed to seek it out and own it. Thankfully brain receptors can be reprogrammed.
Stop listening to the nonsense! Acknowledge it! Discard it! Replace it with something positive and take control!! If you do this every time you hear these negative thoughts they will become less frequent and then go away altogether.
You have the power so do it.
